Rick MartinCertified Public Accountant (CPA)
Following eight years of active duty with the US Army, Rick earned an Accounting degree from Ferris State University in 2015 and ultimately completed the requirements to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He then spent two years as a public auditor specializing in financial institutions before joining the True Blue Tax team. Rick understands the importance of communication and team building and prides himself on his attention to detail, organizational skills and commitment to excellence. Central to all account operations and client services, Rick provides our clients with valuable tax management knowledge. Rick is a member of The American Institute of CPAs. Rick’s off-time is spent with his wife of 10 years, Rebekah and their young son Lucas. Together they enjoy golfing, fishing and taking walks with their dog, Irish.
Audrey AckersonTax Preparer
Audrey has gathered many years of experience in tax preparation and accounting while working for various area CPA and accounting firms. That, combined with her varied employment history in legal administration, office management, and investment client services, has allowed her to build the skill-set needed to expertly assist our clients with all aspects of their tax preparation needs. She and her husband, Steve, are originally from the mid-Michigan area but have called Berrien County home for the past several years. Audrey enjoys do-it-yourself projects, gardening, and traveling with her husband. Together their goal is to visit all 50 states, with 44 states currently checked off the list.
Luke began his career as a financial advisor nearly two decades ago and enjoys his work today as much as he did when starting out. He is proud to offer needs based advice and objective, client centered planning. In 2008 he chose to become an independent advisor and started his own practice, True Blue Financial, to better serve his clients. Luke is proud to partner with LPL Financial, the nations largest independent broker-dealer and consistently ranks in the top 10% of LPL advisors based on productivity. As a business owner he has a unique understanding of the complexities and challenges faced by today's small businesses. Locally, Luke is a member of Southwestern Michigan Estate Planning Council, is active in his church serving as a Deacon, Treasurer, and chair of the Stewardship Committee, and is a past member of NAIFA. Personally, Luke and his wife Shannon have been married over 15 years and have two children Kale 12 and Ellie 11. They enjoy everything outdoors including backpacking, camping, hunting and farming. Luke also spends a great deal of time volunteering and supporting non-profit organizations.
